In honour of St. Mary's 50th Anniversary, we are challenging students across all Key Stages to a small but perfectly formed mini-tales in 50 words. No More No Less.
Once there was a gifted scholar who entered a writing competition. The piece was written succinctly, entranced readers, and promised that the writer deserved an exciting prize as well as (very) localised fame, crowds, applause and autograph-signing opportunities. Unfortunately, when examined, the piece was fifty-two words long and promptly disqualified.

Well done to Caiomhe who is among the winners of a poetry competition about Bradford life. Her poem is displayed inside 50 local buses.
World Book Day will take place on Thursday 3 March 2016 and St. Mary's will be taking part in the event.
