Alice Clayton, Leah Delahay and Izzy Palmer are a credit to St. Mary's.
On Friday 25 September 2015, three St. Mary’s students attended the Active Schools Conference. Alice Clayton, Leah Delahay (Year 12) and Izzy Palmer (Year 10) were selected to represent the school as outstanding Sports Leaders and sports performers.
The Conference was a celebration event and promoted physical activity to 300 primary school teachers. During the conference, the students were interviewed and were asked questions regarding their sporting experiences. All spoke with confidence and were a credit to St. Mary’s.
Swimmer Steve Parry and Alistair Brownlee also spoke at the conference, as well as former St. Mary’s student Megan Casey.
We are delighted to announce that St. Mary’s have been awarded the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/2018.
As a reward for volunteering throughout the year at Sports Leader events, eight St. Mary' s students recently enjoyed a trip to Wimbledon.
Over the last few weeks, St. Mary’s students have competed in a number of Athletics meetings, which culminated in the Leeds Schools Athletics Competition finals at South Leeds Stadium.

Congratulations to Sixth Form student Finley Power for his victory at the West Yorkshire Schools U19’s Golf Tournament, hosted by Howley Hall Golf Club on Monday 23 April 2018.
Year 10 student Nathan Snee has recently been selected to play for the Leeds Rhinos U16’s side and has also been awarded a two year Rugby Scholarship with the club.
