Alice Clayton, Leah Delahay and Izzy Palmer are a credit to St. Mary's.
On Friday 25 September 2015, three St. Mary’s students attended the Active Schools Conference. Alice Clayton, Leah Delahay (Year 12) and Izzy Palmer (Year 10) were selected to represent the school as outstanding Sports Leaders and sports performers.
The Conference was a celebration event and promoted physical activity to 300 primary school teachers. During the conference, the students were interviewed and were asked questions regarding their sporting experiences. All spoke with confidence and were a credit to St. Mary’s.
Swimmer Steve Parry and Alistair Brownlee also spoke at the conference, as well as former St. Mary’s student Megan Casey.
Miss Marsh and Miss Mallinson led a visit to the Netball World Cup yesterday in Liverpool.
Congratulations to Year 10 student Claudia Walsh who was recently awarded a Black Belt in her chosen sport of Karate.
The St. Mary’s Intermediate Girls’ Athletics Team became the champions of Leeds last night, winning the Leeds Schools’ Athletics Association finals.
Congratulations to Year 10 student Mollie Whitehead who was last week awarded the U16’s Player’s Player Award at the Leeds United Ladies annual Awards Evening to commemorate the 2018–19 season.

David Geldart, the founder and Chairman of the multi-award winning Bambisanani Partnership, was recently invited to speak at the Australian Council for Health and Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) International Conference at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, Australia.
