We are delighted to announce that eight students were successful in gaining a place in the Leeds District Netball Team Squad after taking part in hard fought trials at the weekend at Gateways School.  Esme Astbury, Carys Delahay (both Year 7), Amelia Kiwomya, Eva Curran, Millie Helliwell, Eve Midgley, Tilly Heath and Rachel McCormack (Year 8) were all selected.

“This is an amazing achievement as there were 56 girls from across the city to select from. The girls will now train weekly from November until March. They will also compete in tournaments against the other districts in West Yorkshire. As well as developing their netball skills, they will learn life skills such as team building, commitment, organisation and resilience. I am delighted that all the Year 7 and Year 8 Netballers at St. Mary’s are training hard and taking netball seriously.”
