Congratulations to acrobatic gymnasts Olivia and Sophie Leonard (Year 7 and 9 respectively) who competed in the Turin International Acro Cup over the weekend, representing the Olicana Gymnastics Club.
Competing with their partners against competitors from eleven different countries including Russia, Canada, Italy and Switzerland, the girls qualified for the finals and with a combined score from both competitions, they finishes in 7th and 9th place. This was an amazing result as it is the biggest competition that the girls have competed in.

The English Schools Fell Running Championships held last weekend at Giggleswick saw some great performances from St. Mary’s students.
We are delighted to announce that St. Mary’s have been awarded the School Games Silver Mark Award for the 2017/2018.
As a reward for volunteering throughout the year at Sports Leader events, eight St. Mary' s students recently enjoyed a trip to Wimbledon.
Over the last few weeks, St. Mary’s students have competed in a number of Athletics meetings, which culminated in the Leeds Schools Athletics Competition finals at South Leeds Stadium.
