The Championships, Wimbledon 2017 Visit

Sports Leaders rewarded for their hard work throughout the year

As a reward for volunteering throughout the year at Sports Leader events, eight students recently enjoyed a trip to Wimbledon.  This was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience the historic major sporting event, and a reward for their hard work. Our pupils found the day very valuable and rewarding, giving great feedback to staff afterwards.

“Year 10 and Year 11 Sports Leaders visited Wimbledon on Day 2 of the Championship.  This was a reward trip for all their hard work volunteering throughout the year.  On court 1 we saw Roanic beat Struff in a two and a half our battle.  We also caught the very short centre court games played by Djokovic and Federer before their opponents retired.  It was a really fun, sunny day, and all students really enjoyed soaking up the Wimbledon atmosphere!”
