Over the weekend, 21 students from St. Mary’s took part in the Manchester Thunder Netball event.
Over two days, the girls participated in a Netball tournament and received coaching delivered by Manchester Thunder Super League Netball Club. This was a fantastic opportunity for the girls to develop their Netball skills further through high level coaching and plenty of game play.
Throughout the weekend the girls worked tirelessly and demonstrated amazing teamwork. The U13 and U14 teams played against and beat a range of schools from across the country and both teams came away as tournament winners.
Sixth Form student Rachel Farmer also attended in her capacity as a Sports Leader, acting as Assistant Coach and Umpire.
