Sixth Form Selwyn College, Cambridge Visit 2018

Fifteen Sixth Form students recently took part in a residential visit to Selwyn College, Cambridge.

The visit was arranged as part of our programme to provide our students with information, advice and guidance about their potential Post 18 Pathway.  The programme of activities was designed to show students what it would be like to live and study in Cambridge.  They also received advice on what they need to be doing now in order to make a competitive application.

“Each year we offer students the opportunity to visit either Oxford or Cambridge University. This forms part of the St. Mary’s Sixth Form Post 18 Pathway (PEP) information, so that students are informed about the opportunities that University offers. Selwyn College is the link college for the Leeds/Bradford area and gave the students who attended an outstanding insight into the application process, the college set up, and the academic rigour that Oxbridge entails. All students felt that they had gained a great deal of information and had a really enjoyable visit.”
