School Calendar 2018–19
We welcome students into Years 7, 9 and 12 on Tuesday 4 September 2018 and school will be open to all students on Wednesday 5 September 2018.
Examination Results 2018
- Y13 Exam Results will be available to collect from The Gym Thursday 16 August at 08:30 am
- Y12 Exam Results will be available to collect from The Gym Thursday 16 August at 10:30 am
- Y11 Exam Results will be available to collect from The Gym Thursday 23 August at 9:00 am, followed by Sixth Form enrolment. There will be the opportunity to talk to a member of the Senior Leadership Team and finalise Post 16 options.
- Any other results will be issued to students on their first day back in September.
Congratulations to Year 10 student Mollie Whitehead who was last week awarded the U16’s Player’s Player Award at the Leeds United Ladies annual Awards Evening to commemorate the 2018–19 season.
It is confirmed that the 2020 early May bank holiday has moved from Monday 4 May to Friday 8 May to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day on the day itself.
St. Mary’s held their summer KS3 Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 11 June 2019 and were delighted to welcome Mrs Clare Quinn as the Guest Speaker.
Tour de Yorkshire Legacy Event.
The schools in The Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust fundraised for and participated in the Bishop’s annual Good Shepherd Celebration at St. Anne’s Cathedral on Friday 24 May 2019.
Preparations have included regular Friday afternoon sessions, sometimes in wet and windy conditions. There will be a whole-school non-uniform day in July to collect as much sponsorship money as possible.
New figures from the Department for Education (DfE) have revealed which state schools in Leeds have the best success rate for students going on to higher education at one of the country's Russell Group universities.
Jack Rawlings, Marek Bucholc, Gerry McKeown, Malachy Bray and Poppy Fletcher accompanied Mrs Hall, Librarian and Mrs Hammond to the Leeds Book Award Ceremony at the Civic Hall in Leeds.
