In all aspects of appearance, the aim is personal smartness; extremes of fashion are not permitted. We ask parents and carers to support our Smart Uniform Policy.

Girls

  • Black blazer with badge
  • School tie
  • Black badged school sweater (optional)
  • Plain white school shirt
  • Black tailored school skirt or black tailored school trousers
  • Black or white ankle socks or plain black or flesh coloured tights
  • Sensible plain black shoes (not fashion wear, pumps or trainers)

Girls PE Kit

  • White short-sleeved polo shirt with collar
  • Any combination of: black games skirt, black sports shorts, black tracksuit bottoms, black sports leggings, mid length black cycling shorts.
  • White ankle socks
  • Training shoes
  • School sweatshirt
  • School hoodie – to be purchased directly from school (optional)

Boys

  • Black blazer with badge

Uniform Notes

  • Trousers must be tailored, and appropriate for school wear. Fashion-style        trousers ie stretch fabrics or lycra are not acceptable as school wear.
  • For health and safety reasons the only jewellery permitted is a wristwatch. Girls in all year groups may wear a discreet sleeper or stud in each earlobe only and a neck chain.
  • Facial and body piercing is not allowed. Boys may not wear earrings on the school premises.
  • In PE, jewellery or watches are not allowed in any circumstances, for reasons of safety. The department accepts no responsibility for mobile phones, iPods or other valuable items.
  • Trainers should not be worn to and from school but may be worn in the playgrounds/fields.
  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
  • Pupils are expected to arrive at school correctly attired in full school uniform.
  • In all aspects of appearance the aim is personal smartness; extremes of fashion are not permitted eg unnatural hair colours and extremely short hair, including tram-lines. For health and safety reasons all pupils with long hair are expected to tie it back, out of their eyes.
  • Nail varnish and acrylic nails are not permitted.
  • No make up is allowed in Years 7 and 8. In all other years, only discreet make up is
    allowed.
  • An apron is required for lessons in workshops and Food Technology rooms.
  • Outdoor coats must not be worn inside the school building.
