Institute of Research in Schools

St Mary's is an active member of the Institute of Research in Schools (IRIS) with Science students participating in cutting-edge STEM research.  They collaborate with leading universities and institutions alongside our experienced Science team to further develop their critical thinking, data collection and analysis, and creativity.

This extra-curricular activity also includes presentations from PHD students and professors on their research and career paths, alongside conference visits.  

Most recently the school completed research on Cosmic Mining which they presented at a conference at Manchester Fellowship Hall.  Their research poster with their findings of the work can be accessed by clicking the image below.
