Duke of Edinburgh Award

For over 20 years we have offered students the opportunity to enrol onto the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. We typically get over 50 pupils embarking on the scheme every year. We offer Bronze at Year 9, Silver at Year 10 and Gold at Sixth Form. The scheme consists of four strands – Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. Participants are expected to chose activities for the first three strands and to find an assessor that will work with them over a 3-6 month period (Bronze and Silver levels). Expedition section is arranged by school through an approved activity provider. Gold level features longer timescales and an additional ‘Residential’ section to be completed.
