St. Mary's Menston

Post-16 Results day 2025

We are proud to celebrate the success of our sixth form students whose dedication, resilience and talent has enabled them to secure another set of fantastic results. The outcomes encompass a range of subjects and qualifications with over a third of our students studying vocational courses.  Particularly satisfying is the progress which has been made by our students from KS4.

The cohort has shown a determination to excel beyond the curriculum, with a significant number moving on to prestigious Russell Group universities including three students who will be studying at Oxbridge.   We are immensely proud of all our students and enjoyed celebrating their achievements in person today, recognising the fantastic progress that they have made throughout their time at St Marys. We think it is important to highlight a small selection of notable performances by students who have received exemplary results:

Miss Hattersley, headteacher, said ‘Congratulations to all our students who have worked so hard this year.  I am delighted with this year’s results which are testament to the academic strength, creativity and resilience of our students.  It is so pleasing to see them develop academically, personally and spiritually throughout their journey with us and I am confident the interpersonal skills they have developed will be instrumental in their future success. Earlier this year, OFSTED said, ‘inclusivity is at the heart of this exceptional school’ and this is borne out by today’s achievements.  I’d like to offer my thanks to our students and our teaching staff for all they have done. We wish all our students well in their next steps, be it university, apprenticeships or employment.’
